Who Pays for a Headset?
The purchase of headsets is a departmental expense and is not provided nor purchased directly by IT.
Employees should speak with their supervisor to determine whether there is a legitimate business need for the university to cover the cost of a headset.
If approved, the supervisor can purchase an approved headset through the Amazon or WB Mason punchout Store in Oracle Procurement.
IT-Recommended Headsets
IT has reviewed the following headsets for Mac and Windows compatibility with Zoom Phone. These models are recommended based on their features, connectivity, and compatibility.
Important Information
IT's recommendations are intended to help employees select a headset that is compatible with Zoom Phone and university-supported Mac and Windows computers.
Before purchasing a headset, check with your supervisor for departmental approval and purchasing requirements.
IT does not require employees to purchase one of the specific models listed above; however, selecting a headset with a USB connection and microphone is recommended for use with Zoom Phone.
