Zoom Rooms: Scheduling a meeting for a Zoom Room space

Applicable to Zoom Room systems in the following locations:
Bahnson: Aldersgate, Herrnhut
Benigna: 1st Floor Lobby and 209
Colonial: Gee Conference Room
SMRC: 113, 119, 271

SUMMARY: You can schedule a Zoom meeting and include the corresponding Zoom Room resource in the meeting invitation, which then "invites" the Zoom Room to the meeting. This makes the meeting appear on the Zoom Room's touchscreen and/or control pad.

Method 1: via Zoom web interface

1) Log into the Zoom web interface via https://login.moravian.edu

2) Schedule a new meeting through that interface (shortcut: https://moravian.zoom.us/meeting/schedule).

3) In the Attendees field, start typing the room name/number. When your intended room appears below the text field, click on that room.

In the example below, 271 was typed to reveal SMRC 271.

...then, the meeting will show up on the small Zoom touchpanel in the room. You can click to start it from there.

Method 2: via Google Calendar

1) Install the Zoom plug-in for Google Calendar.

2) Once installed, you can schedule Zoom meetings directly from Google Calendar. When doing so, you can add the Zoom Room to a new Zoom meeting under the "Rooms" field.

3) You will need to enable "Allow Join Before Host" to allow the Zoom Room to start your meeting.

3) Save your meeting. As with the first method, this too will popular your meeting on the room's Zoom touchpad or touchmonitor so you can easily start the meeting from the Zoom Room system without requiring your laptop.
