Log into Zoom via the single sign-on dashboard and click on Recordings & Transcripts on your left sidebar.
Click on the recording that you wish to transfer. The video file that you want to transfer will likely be the shared screen with speaker view. Hover over that and click the download arrow. A .mp4 video file will download to your computer. Rename the file with the title of your recording.
You only need the audio transcript file if you already made edits to your Zoom caption file. Otherwise, YuJa will automatically caption all instructor videos that are uploaded into YuJa.
Next, log into YuJa (available on the single sign-on dashboard)
From your Media Library click the Upload button near the top center of the screen.
You may Drag and Drop or use the Browse button to locate the .mp4 video file that you just downloaded from Zoom. Don’t click the Start Upload yet!
If you will be using the Zoom caption file (.vtt) that you downloaded, then click Manage Captions and choose None and then click Save. Otherwise, you may choose to allow YuJa to automatically create captions for your recording. Please remember that you will still need to review YuJa’s automatic captions and edit as necessary (Editing Captions in the Video Editor).
You will then see a message at the bottom of the screen indicating the progress of your upload. After the upload finishes, if you selected automatic captions, you will receive an email notification when the system has finished processing them. If you are uploading the .vtt file that you downloaded from Zoom then proceed with the next step.
Hover over the thumbnail of the recording in the YuJa media library and click on the More option. Choose Accessibility from the sidebar.
Click on the Upload button and choose Captions.
In the next window choose the preferred language first and then browse for the .vtt file that was downloaded from Zoom.
After the upload completes, be sure to click the Save Accessibility button.
Once you are satisfied that your recordings have transferred, please follow the instructions for deleting your Zoom recordings (Deleting Zoom & YuJa Recordings Instructions & Video: Deleting Zoom Recordings)
