Summary

InGenius Connect is a telephone integration tool used within Salesforce to connect a users Cisco telephone (Desk Phone or Jabber for Mac) for click to dial and call logging within Salesforce. InGenius is a per user license, and is authorized for use by Admissions/Enrollment based on necessity. 

Upon authorization/assignment to use InGenius, follow these instructions to get started with InGenius for Salesforce.


Getting Started

Please use the following links to download and install the Cisco Jabber application on your macbook. Then, follow the Initial setup instructions to login to Jabber after installation.

Connect Phone with InGenius for Salesforce

  • If you want to use Jabber for Mac, Launch Jabber from your macbook. If using your desk phone, you do not have to launch Jabber.
  • Login to Salesforce recruitment and click InGenius or Phone from the widgets at the bottom
  • Specify the IP Deskphone or Jabber for Mac device to use for making calls through Salesforce.  In this case you have two devices you can select from:
    • Jabber for MAC: CSFxxxxx
    • IP Desk Phone: SEPxxxxxxxxx
  • Click Connect

Once your chosen telephony device is connected, you can make calls, transfers, and use click to dial with full phone functionality of your campus telephone from InGenius. Upon call completion, you can log the call from the InGenius widget.
